Dr. Gert Maichel Assumes Presidency of German Atomic Forum

On January 31, 2001 in Berlin, the Executive Board of the German Atomic Forum (Deutsches Atomforum e.V. - DAtF) unanimously elected Dr. Gert Maichel, member of the board of RWE AG and chairman of the board of RWE Power AG, as new president of the DAtF. He succeeds Dr. Otto Majewski, deputy chairman of the board of E.ON Energie.

The German Atomic Forum is a private non-profit-making association made up of companies, institutions and private individuals with the aim to promote the peaceful utilisation of nuclear power in Germany.
